We're always working hard to make sure the Apex Challenge is one of the best value outdoor adventure competitions in the country. Apart from a small surplus held in our bank account to cover unexpected expenses, every penny paid by teams taking part in our events is spent on those events.
Putting on such large, complicated events isn't cheap. There are all sorts of things we need to spend money on including kit for the many thrilling activities teams compete in, food and drink, stationery and printing costs and the fees which pay to keep this website online.
It costs £75 per team of three or four to take part in our spring 2013 competition. Based on our expenses from 2012 we've put together this graph to give you some idea how each of those team entry fees is spent.
