Building on the success of the first event, the Apex Challenge returned in May 2003, in Wharncliffe Woods, bigger and better than before and with an added twist. The event was held overnight making it even more difficult to find your way around the playing area. Teams were again welcomed from all across South, West and Central Yorkshire but this time it was open to both Explorer and Network Scouts.
